A NEW BEGINNING

Dream Weaver Farm is the continuation of the goals and philosophies of breeding that were developed by Deborah during her years breeding Appaloosas and American Quarter Horses in the United States. Deborah had always used New Horizons Farm to represent both her maiden name (New) and her philosophy of always looking for new adventures in life. With her marriage to Pieter W. W. Buchan and move to South Africa in 2004, the use of New Horizons Farm for breeding Appaloosas and then American Quarter Horses was a reflection of her new life.

Deborah has found peace and stability here in South Africa so she no longer has to search for “new horizons” to conquer. Now she is planning to incorporate her dreams into the fabric of her life so that she can enjoy her remaining years and, hopefully, help others do the same.

Dream Weaver Farm will breed Quarter Horses that are free of known genetic defects and that have the outstanding dispositions and sound, working conformation the breed is prized for. All Dream Weaver horses will be registered with both the American Quarter Horse Association (AQHA) and the South African Quarter Horse Association (SAQHA).

Please feel free to visit whenever you are in the Hartebeespoort area to share a cup of filter coffee or tea and relax on the veranda overlooking the fields and the Hartbeespoort Dam!

Do Not Stand At My Grave And Weep

Do not stand at my grave and weep;
I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry:
I am not there. I did not die.
